Leh

Arrived in Leh after a spectacular flight from Delhi. Over incredible mountains. We are at 3500metres above sea level. We are recovering from Altitude Sickness, google it for details. This part of India is so different from Delhi, people a quiet layed back and no hasseling. The picture is the view from our hotel. The streets are quite interesting here, outside is a cow and shoe repair on the street. We lucked out an experience a major ceremony at the Thiksey Monastery this morning. Meals have been great. Dispite high temperatures we are very comfortable.

We having finally arrived. Singapore was wonderful. Great place, lots of green space. Enjoyed 2 tour, boat tour of city and one by bus.

Greeted at Delhi Airport by our travel agent, Chaman, presented with floral leis. Then taken by Toyota A/C suv to The Imperial ( google search) one of the best in Asia.

Breakfast buffet, exotic fruits never seen before. Smell of Jasmine permeates the entire hotel. We are off to experience the real Delhi, wish us luck.
